Furthermore, the gel-coated planters convince with special quality characteristics and therefore provide long-lasting pleasure in decorations indoors and outdoors. The base is a sturdy and lightweight fiber-reinforced composite material, which is then covered with a 2 mm thick gel coating. This is made in a technique which is well known from ship buildings and makes sure, that the material is osmose-resistant and therefore absolutely waterproof even after several years. In contrast to usual, significantly thinner lacquering, which are mostly only 0,1 mm thin. Gel-coatings are impact- and scratchproof, UV- and weather-resistant. This means that the surface does not flake off, and looks good for a long period.
